Bakersfield R-IV School District is accepting bids for dirt work. Bids are due by Monday, October 6, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. Bids may be emailed to apadgett@bakersfield.k12.mo.us OR dropped off at the Superintendent’s Office located at 357 State Hwy O, Bakersfield, MO 65609. Please direct any questions to Dr. Amy Padgett at 417-284-7333 or 417-712-1222.

Scope of Work (Fence row only---MAJOR dirt work for baseball and softball will come in another bid solicitation)
1. Doze and clean the fence row from property boundary on the southwest corner around County Road 593 to the tree line on the north boundary.
2. Remove debris from site.
3. A few (no more than 4) large trees may be left.
4. Create an entrance along O Hwy at the southwest corner of the property line and one entry along County Road 593.

In the bid please specify
1. Total Cost.
2. Estimated date to begin.
3. Estimate date to complete.

Bidder Requirements
1. Provide liability insurance for bidder equipment and operators

Athletic Schedule for September 26th & 27th. Friday the 26th Baseball HOME vs Gainesville starting at 4:00 with V and JV to follow. Also on the 26th Junior High Boys Basketball HOME vs Eminence starting at 5:30 with half boys B then boys A, no girls game. Saturday the 27th Volleyball at Winona playing in the consolation game at 12:00.

High School Honor Society Students: Please check your Honor Society class on Google Classroom. I have everything set up for you to add your hours as well as activities you can do to get hours. Please get approval from me first! You will also find directions to join our Remind group to get important information sent directly to your phone! Parents of Honor Society students are welcome to join our Remind group as well. Your child can share those directions found in their Google Classroom! Have a great 4-day weekend!

Get your game face on! Come and cheer for the Lady Lions as they face off with the Couch Lady Indians today! The Big Springs Conference tournament takes place at Winona High School this Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Our match begins at 4:30 p.m. today. If we win we will play tomorrow at 6:00 pm against Winona. Should we lose we would play Saturday at noon. Let's Go!!
