The Bakersfield FBLA is planning and organizing the event, Small Town Extreme Makeover. FBLA, along with several clubs, classes, churches, and community organizations are planning on painting a home in the city limits of Bakersfield. We are hoping to make this a yearly event and are asking for your support. In an effort to help revitalize and restore our town, the students at BHS want to pay it forward to a community that has been a big supporter of the school. We are asking for donations in many forms: financial support, physical labor, and materials needed for the painting project. Bakersfield FBLA members met with the City Council on February 27th to make the first-year selection. This year's recipients are the West family, which are currently renovating their home located by the city well house. The home makeover day is scheduled for April 4th, 2020. Contributions can be made at Century Bank of the Ozarks in Bakersfield or see Stephanie Guffey. Be there when we Move that School Bus on April 4th!

8th grade had a great trip to Jefferson City on Tuesday. They visited the Capitol building where they saw the House of Representatives discuss a bill, visited the Senate floor, saw the amazing mural by Thomas Hart Benton, and met with both our state senator and representative. Then they headed over to the Missouri State Penitentiary for a super informative 2 hour tour!
