Softball at Pride Park is canceled for Monday October 7th. Fields are too wet.

The Bakersfield Festival Committee invites everyone to attend a meeting on October 7 at 6 PM in the FEMA building to discuss Bakersfest, the Annual 4th of July Festival, and the Christmas Parade.

Everyone is welcome to come by for Community Coffee in the FEMA building Monday, October 7 from 4-5:30. The topics will include Vaping and high school course options for career planning.

Guild has the concession stand at the softball field this Tuesday! All workers need to be there at 4:00.

10th-12th will be back at school about 7:45

The 8th and 9th grade trip will be late getting back. They should arrive at school about 6:30. Again this is the 8th and 9th grade trip.

10th-12th graders toured MTI, OTC, and College of the Ozarks today. A great chance for students to plan for the future!

Hunter Lashley made my Geography class a traditional BrazilIan dessert called brigadeiro. It was great!


BHS students honored Coach Tate from Thayer today by wearing green. Our prayers go out to Coach Tate’s family and to all of the Thayer community.


The Bakersfield School Hospitality Committee hosted a baby shower for Mrs Angie (Cotter) Leach today after school. We're all very excited for Mrs Angie!





Students, faculty, and staff at Bakersfield school are encouraged to wear green tomorrow, October 3, to show Thayer school our support and condolences in the loss of their coach, Bryan Tate. We are doing it tomorrow because the entire high school grades 8 through 12 will be gone on a field trip Friday.
