Hey! So prom is set! Could you please share this info with the juniors and seniors? June 12th from 7:30-10pm at the pavilion. We are still going with the roaring 20's theme. These are the questions I've been asked already with the answers. 1. Why so soon? The reason for that date is because summer ball starts the next weekend. 2. Will it still be formal? I say every come with what they've got. If you've got formal, wear it. If not, we all understand and don't care. We just want to see people and share the experience! (From Grace) Hey guys I don't know if any of you had a dress rental with PJs but I just called them and they are allowing me to still rent the dress and have it in the Pavilion even though it's going to be outside if they have everyone's measurements and are totally open to the idea of giving you the dress without paying anymore. 3. How do I get a new prom date approved? Mr Byrd said that anyone who needs to clear a date should just call him and give him the info.

I would like to apologize to Colter Bean. During our graduation ceremony, I failed to recognize Colter. Colter received Welding Certification through South Central Career Center. He will also be awarded the opporunity to receive 24 credit hour scholarship at Missouri State University-West Plains. Congratulations Colter for a job well done! I am very sorry for dropping the ball during graduation.

Pictures for the 2020 LION yearbook The following message is an update from April 20: The 2020 school year has been a very different experience for all of us. We are collecting pictures to document this experience and would like for you to share pictures with us of your child/children completing school learning experiences beyond our school building. We would like to collect a variety of pictures from science, math, reading, history, writing, art, music, physical education, cooking, sewing, engineering, farming, etc. We need quality pictures clearly showing the activity and child that would be yearbook appropriate. Please do not send more than two pictures per child. Not all of the pictures will make it into the yearbook, but we would appreciate a variety of options from all grade levels. Pictures may be sent to lisal@bakersfield.k12.mo.us. The deadline for pictures is May 19, 2020. Thank you!
