
FCCLA is selling t-shirts for Christmas. You can order blue or green and they will have snowflakes on them. The cost is $10.00 and they come in all sizes. They must be ordered by Nov 19 before Thanksgiving break and they will be delivered on Dec 10. See any FCCLA member or me to order. I have attached the order form. No two shirts will be the same.

The annual Veterans Day assembly will be held Thursday November 11th. Veterans are welcome to share lunch with us in the FEMA building at 11:30. The Veterans Day program will be presented at 1:00 in the gym.

The FCCLA attended the regional meeting on Wednesday, November 3 at the West Plains Civic Center.


Plan to join us this Thursday November 11th at the Jerry Taylor Gymnasium. Starting at 6 we will recognize our middle school boys & girls basketball teams. Our high school girls will be introduced and we will have a scrimmage. Then the boys will be introduced and will also scrimmage. There will be a silent auction going on and the Booster Club will be selling pizza out of the concession stand. Admission is free. Hope to see you at the gym!!

Carol Cooper, local author, Monarch butterfly expert, and former teacher, visited our school today. She talked to our Middle School students all about Monarchs and her role in expanding their population. Then she headed to the library to read her books to the 1st and 3rd graders. 4 lucky students walked away with a signed copy of her book!




Mrs. Batterton's Anatomy class went on a field trip to Evangel University in Springfield. Dr. Tenneson showed the students around the health science building and let the students participate in a couple of lab activities. The students got to feel around a real human cadaver and hold real human bones like a femur, skull, and pelvis. They also got to hold a real human heart!

Sybil Fortner, D.D.S., The Missouri Ozarks Dental Director will be on campus next week Tuesday through Friday(Oct. 19-22) providing dental services here at school. Last year they saw 26 students while here. This is a great opportunity to have your student seen by a dental expert while never having to leave campus. For more details contact either the Elementary or High School office. Forms can be picked up at either office.

Monday, October 11th Parent Teacher Conferences for K-12 Students from noon-7:00. At 5:30 there will also be a meeting for parents and seniors about financial aid and a rep will be here to help with the FAFSA application process. Mrs. Summers will have information about scholarships and resources that are available to graduating seniors. Seniors and parents of seniors, please plan to attend.
