High School basketball season starts Tuesday November 22nd at the Jerry Taylor Gymnasium Boys vs Alton half JV game begins at 6 followed by V. Go Lions!
Misty Perry, Bakersfield R-IV RootEd advisor, and Trudy Summers, Bakersfield R-IV Counselor hosted a career day for Bakersfield 8th-12th graders on Thursday, November 17th. Eighteen career paths were presented to the students with students learning about educational requirements, work environments, and physical, technical, and educational preparations that would be needed for their careers.

Middle School and High School lock-in will be this Friday night! Kids can play basketball, volleyball and board games. Students are welcome to bring their tv’s and video games. Food will be available and concession stand will be open. Please pick your child up by midnight. Cost is $20.00 and all proceeds will go to Honor Society scholarships. Thank you for your support!
The FBLA Trip scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 15th has been cancelled.
Took this group of great girls to the best pizza shop in Ava and then they competed well in the jamboree at Bradleyville. Go lady lions!
We have several unclaimed coats and hoodies that belong to students. We would love to see these items returned to the rightful owners. If you see anything that belongs to your children, please comment and we will work to get them returned.
Bakersfield FBLA will be going to Cabool High School for the District 14 Fall Meeting on Tuesday, November 15th. Members need to confirm with Mr. Sewell that they are coming. They will also need to bring money for food that day.

12 FCCLA members and their sponsor, Beth Pickle, attended the Regional Meeting on November 2nd at Licking High School. Our flag, painted by Jasmine Hall, won first place for the 2nd year in a row. Last year's flag was painted by Jasmine as well.
Several 5th Graders earned double AR points for the 1st Quarter.
Madalyn Hayes, Gavin Scott, Chase Hewitt, Jaydin Cullum, and Micaela Williams all earned a free ice cream cone courtesy of 101 Pastries & Cream for doing so.
