Tuesday, May 2-4 High School students will be taking the End of Course Exam (EOC), EOC Assessments provide important information that contributes to decisions concerning individual students, groups of students, and educational programs.
EOC Assessments are taken when a student has received instruction on the Missouri Learning Standards for an assessment, regardless of grade level.
Missouri offers ten EOC assessments, four of which are required at the state level. Districts must ensure that students complete EOC assessments in Algebra I, English II, Biology, and Government prior to high school graduation. Students enrolled in Algebra II will also be assessed. Testing Schedule:
Tuesday, May 2: Biology and Government EOC
Wednesday, May 3: English II and Algebra II EOC
Thursday, May 4: Algebra I EOC
Please make sure your student is here and on time and well rested. Thank you

Tuesday, April 25-Friday, May 12, 2023 students grades 3-8 may be taking the The Missouri Assessment Program (MAP). This assessment evaluate students’ progress toward the Missouri Learning Standards.
The Missouri Learning Standards define the knowledge and skills students need in each grade level and course for success in college, other post-secondary training and careers. These expectations are aligned to the Show-Me Standards, which define what all Missouri high school graduates should know and be able to do. Find more information about the standards at https://dese.mo.gov/college-career-readiness/curriculum/mls-for-parents.
A policy statement, adopted by the Missouri State Board of Education, designated the purposes of the Missouri Assessment Program as:
• Improving students’ acquisition of important knowledge, skills and competencies;
• Monitoring the performance of Missouri’s education system;
• Empowering students and their families to improve their educational prospects; and
• Supporting the teaching and learning process.
We ask that you have your student here and on time during these dates. Please ensure the students are well rested and ready for testing.
Thank you

8th Grade Class Trip (continued with more pictures of our day)

Last Thursday, the 8th grade had a wonderful trip to Jefferson City to visit the Missouri State Capitol and State Penitentiary. Our tour guide at the Penitentiary said he has had a LOT of school groups over the years but that we were one of the best he has EVER had! As the 8th grade sponsor, I take great pride in that AND in these kids! 💙 Lion Nation!

The Bakersfield Lady Lions had a big day on the softball diamond Saturday beating Galena and Hurley to advance to the finals of the Galena tournament before falling to a tough Miller team. Keely Stevens had a grand-slam and Alexis McGhee added a home run against Hurley to secure the run rule victory and Miley Edens pitched all three games and did a great job on the mound. Congrats Lady Lions!
