7th grade classes worked on a "Honey, I Blew Up the Candy Wrapper!" project as their math final. Students got to choose their favorite candy bar and enlarge the candy wrapper by a scale factor of 5-10 times larger, while keeping their new picture proportional to the original. These projects turned out well, and their favorite part was eating their candy bar for the project!

8th grade got to make Sierpinski Triangle (Tetrahedron) kites as their final math project in middle school! They used straws, string/yarn, tissue paper, tape, and glue to construct them. We flew them on Wednesday, but the wind wasn't quite strong enough for a good take-off, but fun nonetheless!
