It's cold outside now, but summer will be here before we know it!  We are planning a lot for summer school this year!  In addition to enrichment activities for elementary students along with remediation and credit recovery for students of all grade levels, we have quite a selection of interesting courses planned!  We need a good head count to see if we will have enough interest to offer the following courses.

Middle School Vocational Courses in the following areas:

One week of Ag--learn to change a tire, change/check oil, weld, shop safety, and basic greenhouse

One week of Business--learn basic budgeting and money tips along with computer projects

One week of FACS--learn basic meal planning, cooking, sewing, child development and canning

3 Days of athletic conditioning and basic skills in basketball and softball/baseball for Middle School students

Driver's Ed for high school students who are at least 15 1/2 years old and have their driver's permit.

Of course there will be field trips every Friday.  Summer School starts with a short week  Wednesday, May 29-Friday, May 31, then continues the following Monday, June 3-Friday June 21.  (Summer school will be Monday-Friday.)

More information will be sent home with students in the next few weeks.  We just wanted to get this information out there to be thinking about summer school!
